3 Ways You’re Blocking Success You DESERVE
Are you successful?
If you are, fan-freakin-tastic!
I’m very happy for you!
For everyone else, why don’t you have the success you crave?
For many people, they say it’s because of “external circumstances” or “bad luck”. Insert your favorite excuse here.
Well, I hate to break it to you, but in most cases, WE are our own worst enemy.
There are 3 behaviors that are blocking success and holding back most entrepreneurs from becoming as successful as they should be.
#1: There is something you can’t let go of.
Whether it’s a business idea, a startup that’s not going well, an old job you are still mourning, or a business that has hit the skids, you can’t make something work that just isn’t working.
We keep old grudges, old feelings, and a shit-ton of baggage with us.
The idea that, if you keep at something long enough, it will eventually work out is bullshit logic. There are times where you just have to let shit go, pivot, learn from the failure or experience, and try again at something else. No one WANTS to admit defeat, but if you don’t look the truth right in the face, you may end up in a deeper hole.
Don’t let your ego or stubborn nature get in your way. I have. And it cost me literally everything. Listen to what your gut is telling you. It won’t steer you wrong. When you listen to yourself and pivot (the new buzzword of 2020), learn from the failure, you’ll find that you actually achieve success much more quickly. Because you’ve learned from your mistakes.
#2: You doubt your own abilities.
I’ve met a lot of ego-maniacs in my days. People so full of success and themselves, they could share it with 100 people and STILL have ego and success leftover. More often than not, I find myself face-to-face with someone who really has what it takes to be a great success, but they don’t think they have what it takes. Even when everyone around them is telling them “wow!”
That lack of confidence becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy that keeps them stuck in their bullshit.
If you are one of these doubters, we seriously need to talk. Like, right now. Or, find yourself a mentor to guide you and help you find your confidence. A good mentor/coach will shadow you through changes and strategies that focus on what you can accomplish.
It’s important to work with someone who can help you build yourself up and point you in the right direction. Had i not found mine, I never would have built 2 six-figure businesses!
#3: You just don’t know how to say “no”.
We all love to help people. That’s why we do what we do. But, we can’t help everyone. It is virtually impossible. When you say “yes” when you should be saying “no”, you are taking valuable time and resources away from your quest for success. You are handing your success over to someone else because the successful person knows when to call on others to take care of certain tasks.
It is perfectly ok to set boundaries and decline to help when you know you need that time to take care of your own important tasks or clients.
Don’t feel guilty about it either. If someone or something isn’t on your path to success — you are under zero obligation to do it. Period.
You can still assist others when the occasion arises (no need to be a jerk…) IF you’re available. Once you get to where you need to be in your success, you will be in a position to help many others in a much better way.
And, if the other people were just using you in the first place for their own success, you’ll be able to see it from a place of power, rather than a place of weakness. You certainly won’t feel guilty giving them the boot, will you?
In each of these three situations, there are mental barriers you are building up that you can smash and tear down once you realize YOU are the barrier. It can be difficult to see, as we do tend to deny our own bullshit. With the right mentor/coach — you’ll be able to identify, claim, and destroy all the things you’re allowing to stand in your way of the wonderful success you DESERVE.
You CAN get rid of these negative and self-limiting beliefs by making the decision to take conscious control of your actions, and affirm to yourself you deserve your successes and you are fully capable of achieving your goals.
So, how do you feel now? Did you nod your head and say to yourself “Yep. That’s me!”
If so, what are you going to change? You CAN do something different that will put you on your path to success.
It will take some serious butt-kicking effort.
Are you ready?
